Parking Permit

The City maintains three parking ramps on the Edina side of the 50th and France commercial area. Full- and part-time employees working on the Edina side of the commercial area may purchase parking permits to park in designated areas. Employees may not park in the ramps without a permit. Annual permits are valid the calendar year and expire Dec. 31.

  • Second vehicles: As a courtesy, the City will issue, at no cost, a second permit for employees who may not drive the same vehicle every day. Employees must demonstrate ownership of both vehicles. Permits must remain with the registered vehicle and may not be transferred, sold or traded.

Where can employees park?
 
Employees with valid permits can park in:
  • all levels of the North Ramp,
  • on Levels 2 & 3 of the Center Ramp and
  • in the southwest portion of the rooftop (Level 3) of the South Ramp. 
 
Note that only employees with “premium” permits are allowed to park in the lowest level of the South Ramp.

What are the rules for the lowermost level of the South Ramp?
The lowermost level is reserved 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for employees with valid “premium” permits. Premium parking spots do not correspond with permit numbers and are first-come-first-served. A limited number of premium permits are available each year.
 
After 4 p.m., this level is also available to customers and employees with a “regular” permit on a first-come-first-served basis.
