54th Street to Close for Construction
Edina, Minn., June 3, 2015 – 54th Street between France and Wooddale avenues will close for several months beginning June 22 for replacement of the bridge over Minnehaha Creek.
The road will be closed for approximately 16 weeks, depending on the weather, and is slated to reopen in mid-October. A detour will be in place directing traffic north on either France or Wooddale avenue to 50th Street. Local access for residents who live on the street will be maintained.
The new bridge will replace a structurally deficient bridge with a much more aesthetically pleasing structure.
