City Issues Call for Entries in 12th-Annual Photo Contest

Edina, Minn., April 1, 2015 – The City of Edina has opened the submission period for its 12th-annual “Images of Edina” photo contest, co-sponsored by Edina Magazine.

The contest is free to enter and is open to both amateur and professional photographers who reside, work or attend school in Edina. The deadline for this year’s contest is 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 15. Entries should be submitted online through Edina Magazine’s website, www.EdinaMag.com. Printed copies of contest entries will not be accepted.

Photos must have been taken in Edina between June 13, 2014 and June 15, 2015, and must be entered in one of the following categories representing the City’s vision statement:

  • Living – People
  • Living – Plants/Wildlife
  • Learning
  • Raising Families
  • Doing Business

Photographers may submit a maximum of five photographs. All submissions must be the original artwork of the photographer.

Gift certificates to local businesses will be awarded to overall and category winners. Winners will also receive plaques, recognition at a future City Council meeting and will have their work displayed for up to two years at Edina City Hall.

Submitted photographs will also be posted online at www.EdinaMag.com between June 16 and July 17 for readers to vote for their favorite entry. Through online voting, one photograph will be recognized as a “Readers’ Choice” award winner. Winners will be notified around July 31.
