Event To Be Held At Braemar Arena In Honor of National Skating Month
Edina, Minn., Jan. 7, 2015 – In honor of National Skating Month, the Braemar-City of Lakes Figure Skating Club and Braemar Skating School will host a free skating event. The event has been rescheduled for 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Braemar Arena, 7501 Ikola Way, Edina.
Information about Braemar’s skating programs will be available at the event. Also, a short skating exhibition will be presented at 1 p.m. by members of the Braemar-City of Lakes Figure Skating Club. Free open skating will follow the exhibition. Braemar’s skating professionals will be on hand to give assistance to new skaters. Skate rental will be available for $2.
Braemar Arena offers skating classes for people of all ages and abilities, including classes for children and adults, therapeutic and adaptive skating classes, synchronized skating classes, homeschool skating classes and more.
“We look forward to hosting this event. There truly will be something for everyone,” said Braemar Arena General Manager Susie Miller. “Come and join us for this fun skating event with free skating, free prizes and free refreshments!”
