Hovland invites residents to Walk With the Mayor™
Edina, Minn., Jan. 14, 2013 – Edina Mayor Jim Hovland will lead a monthly two-mile “Walk With the Mayor” the third Saturday morning of every month at varying locations.
The first walk will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. Those interested in walking and talking with Hovland should meet at Southdale Center on the first floor outside of Macy’s just before 9 a.m.
“Through Walk With the Mayor, I can get to know residents and be active at the same time,” Hovland said. “We’ll walk a different route each month to see different parts of our community. Some walks will be indoors, some outdoors during warmer months.”
The starting point of future walks will be announced each month on the City’s website at www.EdinaMN.gov.
