City Receives National Communications and Marketing Awards

Edina, Minn., Sept. 10, 2015 – The City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) recently presented the City of Edina with four awards in its national competition.

The awards were announced Sept. 9 during a ceremony at 3CMA’s 28th-annual conference, held in San Antonio, Texas. The City of Edina received a first-place Savvy Award for “Public Art Profiles,” a video series highlighting Edina’s public art and the artists that created the sculptures.

Judges of the “Regularly Scheduled Programming” category called “Public Art Profiles” “Well done. The shot selection and timing was very entertaining. Compelling segments keep the viewers engaged. Exceptional work! It [draws viewers] in from the very first shot!”

The City received a second-place Silver Circle for the bi-monthly news program “Agenda: Edina” and third-place Awards of Excellence for its social media strategy and City Manager Scott Neal’s new video series “On the Job.”
