Mayor to Lead Monthly Walk at Yorktown Park
Edina, Minn., Aug. 12, 2016 – Mayor Jim Hovland will lead this month’s “Walk with the Mayor” at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Yorktown Park, 7335 York Ave.
Participants will have the opportunity to walk around Yorktown Park and discuss new developments and other current City issues with the Mayor.
“I value opportunities such as these to get to know more people who live in the community and understand their concerns,” said Hovland.
Walkers should meet at the Community Gardens in the back parking lot of the Southdale YMCA.
Walk with the Mayor events are typically held the third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. In case of rain, residents should meet at Caribou Coffee in the center court of Southdale Center.
