Communications & Technology Services Department receives national awards

Edina, Minn., Sept. 21, 2015 – The City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) recently presented the City of Edina with three awards in its national competition.

The awards were announced Sept. 10 during a ceremony at 3CMA’s 27th-annual conference, held in Atlanta. The City of Edina received first-place Savvy Awards for “Enterprise Edina,” a monthly talk show hosted by Edina Chamber of Commerce President Lori Syverson, and its employee extranet, Edinet.

Judges of the “Interview/Talk Show/News Programming” category called “Enterprise Edina” a “very interesting piece … [with] great energy, appropriate questioning and great flow. Expressive photography and editing sealed the deal.” Judges of the “Digital Interactive – Issue-Specific Website” category said of Edinet, “Welcoming for employees. The look and feel are sharp. Great use of text and pictures – just the right balance of each.”

The City received a third-place Award of Excellence for the monthly public safety program “Beyond the Badge.”
