Drug Task Force
The Edina Police Department is a member of the Southwest Hennepin Drug Task Force (SWHDTF) along with the police departments in Eden Prairie, Hopkins, Minnetonka, St. Louis Park and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. The SWHDTF is charged with investigating violations of the state’s controlled substance laws. The SWHDTF is governed by the Chiefs of Police from each municipal jurisdiction and the Hennepin County Sheriff. The SWHDTF was formed in 1996.
